OUR ON-LINE SERVICES - BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
ON 1ST MAY OUR APPOINTMENT SYSTEM IS CHANGING
The new system is called PATIENT TRIAGE and is being adopted by all GP surgeries. So how does it work?
Patients requesting an appointment, or need to contact us for any other reason, will now have to firstly provide information about their needs online. This important information will be delivered to the surgery using an on-line form via Smartphone, Tablet, Computer, or our website: see link above under OUR ON-LINE SERVICES - BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
The information provided, will help our GPs direct patients to the most appropriate professional to help with their needs. We aim to get back to you by the next working day, or sooner, to tell you the next course of action, which will either be to book a face-to-face appointment, a telephone appointment, or you will be given advice. If a patient does not have on-line access, our staff will assist by completing the form.
Patient Triage is already working well in many surgeries. It ensures that healthcare resources are more effectively allocated to patients and waiting times are reduced for those with urgent medical needs.
MMR VACCINE Your protection against MEASLES MUMPS & RUBELLA
It is of great concern that measles cases have soared across the country amid an increase in unvaccinated children.
There is no better time to consider the protection the MMR vaccine can bring. The MMR vaccine is a safe and effective combined vaccine. It protects against three serious illnesses: MEASLES, MUMPS & RUBELLA. These highly infectious conditions can easily spread between unvaccinated people so getting vaccinated is important, as these conditions can also lead to serious problems including meningitis, hearing loss and problems during pregnancy.
MMR vaccination advice is readily available from your surgery.
Welcome to the website of Weoley Park & Grange Hill Surgery
Our surgery was originally created by uniting two long established South Birmngham medical practices, located in Selly Oak and Kings Norton.
The twinning of these two surgeries enables our clinicians to deliver medical care across a significant area of South Birmingham, with clinical facilites available to patients from both surgery locations.
We are also a TEACHING PRACTICE so in addition to serving our Selly Oak and Kings Norton communities, we regularly invite trainee doctors and clinicians from Birmingham & Aston Universities, to spend time with us as an important part of their medical educational experience.
